PATCHOGUE, NY – OCTOBER 13, 2006 – The Institute for the Study of Religion in Community Life at St. Joseph’s College will hold its annual Kristallnacht observance, An Evening of Jewish/Christian Dialogue in Remembrance of Kristallnacht, on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, in the McGann Conference Center located in O’Connor Hall on the College’s Suffolk Campus. Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, the co-host of 'Religion on the Line', WABC Radio, will be the keynote speaker at this event.
A co-host of 'Religion on the Line' since it began in 1982, Rabbi Joseph Potasnik is noted for his passion, his warmth and his humor. A popular guest and commentator on local and national radio and television programs, Rabbi Potasnik couples his enthusiasm for social issues with the wise insights of the Jewish tradition. He carries these unique skills over to his work at Congregation Mount Sinai in Brooklyn Heights, New York; to his role as President of the New York Board of Rabbis; and to his chaplaincy of the New York City Fire Department.
This event is open to the public with a registration fee of $10, which includes a light buffet kosher dinner. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM, and will immediately be followed by the lecture at 7:00 PM.
