PATCHOGUE, NY – OCTOBER 20, 2006 – St. Joseph’s College is pleased to welcome three new employees to its Suffolk Campus located in Patchogue, New York: Joseph Bruno, Terri Corbin-Hutchinson and Victoria L. Finnigan.
Mr. Joseph Bruno joins the St. Joseph’s community from Hofstra University, where he worked closely with students, staff and faculty as a campus minister. During his tenure there, Mr. Bruno orchestrated Hofstra’s first annual alternative spring break trip to New Orleans and initiated a variety of ecumenical programs to encourage interfaith dialogue.
Prior to working at Hofstra, Mr. Bruno taught theology at St. John the Baptist High School, where he assisted the campus ministry team with retreats and worked closely with the athletic department as the junior varsity lacrosse coach. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and is in the process of finishing an M.A. in Theology from the Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington, New York.
Terri Corbin-Hutchinson joins the College as its new Director for the Callahan Library. Former supervising librarian for the Harlem Library in Harlem, New York, she brings with her extensive experience in the field of library science. She earned her B.A. degree in Psychology from Baruch College and her M.L.S. degree from Pratt Institute, School of Information and Library Sciences, both in New York. She also holds numerous professional certificates and is a member of the American Library Association, New York Library Association and New York Library Club.
Victoria L. Finnigan has assumed the role of Director of Institutional Budgets, where she will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Patchogue Business Office. Prior to joining the staff at St. Joseph’s, she served as the Assistant Treasurer at St. John’s University, where she acted as liaison working with the offices of Development, Financial Aid and Deans on various financial issues. She also has past experience in the private business sector, where she served as a business analyst, accounting supervisor and internal auditor. She holds a degree in accounting from Hofstra University.
