LI Colleges and Universities, Congressman Bishop To Present Financial Aid Advice For Parents
Learn How to Pay for Your Child’s College Education

PATCHOGUE, NY – DECEMBER 29, 2007 – The Long Island Regional Advisory Council on Higher Education (LIRACHE), in conjunction with Congressman Tim Bishop (D-Southampton), invites you to learn how to pay for your child’s college education at a Financial Aid Information Seminar hosted by St. Joseph’s College on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, a snow date has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2008.

The Financial Aid Information Seminar will include a keynote presentation by Congressman Tim Bishop and will be followed by panel discussions with financial aid professionals from 19 colleges and universities from across Long Island. A reception and a resource expo will conclude the evening.

ABOUT CONGRESSMAN TIM BISHOP

He has been among the strongest advocates in Congress for college affordability and helped write key provisions of new legislation signed into law this year which made the single largest investment in college financial aid since the 1944 GI Bill, helping millions of students and families pay for college – and doing so at no new cost to taxpayers.
