Patchogue, NY- On Tuesday, February 8th, Congressman Tim
Bishop (D-Southampton) will announce that he has secured $400,000 for the development
of "smart classrooms" at St. Joseph’s College.
Sister Elizabeth
Hill, President of St. Joseph’s
College, will join Bishop on Tuesday and they will discuss how the classrooms
will improve students' chances of succeeding in the workforce.
The “smart classrooms” will be fully integrated, technological
facilities that will provide students with the chance to use, explore and experiment
with the technology that they will encounter during advanced study and in their
future careers. The classrooms will be used for the lecture-based instruction
of theory and as interactive learning laboratories for the practical application
of that theory.
