St. Joseph’s College Advertising Campaign Wins National Attention 2nd Year In A Row
Revitalized Branding Wins Prestigious Marketing Awards
Brooklyn and Patchogue, NY – February 14, 2005 – St. Joseph's College announced today that it has again received national recognition for its “Watch What Happens” advertising and marketing campaign by taking First Place at the 20th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards. This year, St. Joseph’s received a Gold Award for its Total Advertising Campaign, which rates the overall comprehensive campaign, including numerous factors such as branding, institutional identity and advertising.

“We developed the advertising campaign to support and promote our innovative programs and to increase awareness of the College as a whole to the greater New York metropolitan region,” said Nancy Connors, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at St. Joseph’s College. “It is rewarding to see our hard work paying off and we are again grateful to the Admissions Marketing Report for the recognition.”

In its 20th year and sponsored by the national trade magazine Admissions Marketing Report, the Admissions Advertising Awards, the largest educational advertising awards competition in the United States, judges the best marketing and advertising work done by colleges and universities across the country. With 29 different categories, this year yielded the most submissions ever to the competition, with St. Joseph's beating out hundreds of institutions for its honors.

Admissions Marketing Report is the nation’s leading publication covering marketing for higher education. The monthly publication is in its twenty-first year and is read each month by nearly four thousand admissions marketers around the country and at international colleges and universities.

In October 2003, St. Joseph's launched a new advertising and marketing campaign with its new tagline “Watch What Happens.” Beyond print and radio ads, the new branding campaign includes an integrated internal communication program, direct mail campaigns, new recruitment materials and a redesigned and expanded new College web site. Since its launch, advertisements have been featured in targeted media outlets such as Newsday, The New York Times, the New York Daily News, WHTZ–FM (Z–100) and education trade publications.
