PATCHOGUE, NY – MARCH 26, 2013 – The Offices of Alumni Relations and Career Development, Wellness and Disability Services at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) are pleased to announce they will be sponsoring the fifth annual Day on Wall Street event for current SJC students on Friday, May 3.
Established by SJC alumna Michelle-Lee Cona Rabinowitz ’02, this educational networking event offers students from both the Long Island and Brooklyn campuses an opportunity to learn from successful SJC alumni who are working in finance. This year’s visits will include the New York Stock Exchange, Maxim Group and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., as well as a tour of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Gold Vault.
“The Day on Wall Street event was created to give students an out of classroom experience that would introduce them to successful business professionals who have graduated from the College,” said Frank LaTerra, executive director of the Office of Career Development, Wellness & Disability Services at SJC. “Each year, this event continues to evolve with the hope that new and exciting aspects will be available to interested students. Selection into this program is a unique honor for our students and a rewarding opportunity for professional growth.”
After a competitive application process, the 25 students who are chosen to attend the event are required to dress in business attire, bring resumes and prepare a list of questions to ask the presenters about working in finance.
