28th Annual Dinner Dance Announced

BROOKLYN AND PATCHOGUE, NY October 5, 2010 - St. Josephs College will hold its 28th Annual Dinner Dance on Thursday, November 4 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails followed by dinner and dancing at 7:30 p.m. This years business affair will honor Peter M. Meyer 87 with both the 2010 Distinguished Citizen and the Outstanding Alumnus awards. Proceeds from this event will benefit student scholarships.

President of the New York City market for TD Bank, Peter Meyer 87 has had an extensive career in the banking industry. In 2002, Mr. Meyer joined TD Bank to execute its aggressive expansion into the Brooklyn and Queens markets. He has held numerous senior lending positions with various banks in NYC and has been instrumental in creating loan programs and products for health care and nonprofit organizations in the greater New York area.

An active community member, Mr. Meyer is chairman of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and sits on boards at St. Josephs College, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Queens Museum, York College, Greater Jamaica Development Corp., the American Cancer Society and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. A graduate of St. Francis Prep and SJC, Mr. Meyer earned his M.B.A. degree from Long Island University.
