Increased Enrollment Reported on Both Campuses

BROOKLYN AND PATCHOGUE, NY OCTOBER 6, 2010 St. Josephs College is pleased to announce a rise in enrollment for both its Brooklyn and Long Island campuses. An overall increase of 4 percent was reported for the 2010 fall semester. This news comes shortly after the College was ranked as one of "Americas Best Colleges in both US News & World Report and Forbes Magazine.

"This increase is attributed to the Colleges strong academic reputation, coupled with a very affordable tuition and a very generous scholarship and grant program, said Vice President for Enrollment Management Theresa LaRocca Meyer. "We are also very pleased with the ongoing enrollment growth in our adult undergraduate and graduate programs, which acknowledges that there is a place for every student who is committed to furthering their educational experience while at St. Josephs College.

St. Josephs College was recently ranked for the ninth consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report to its top-tier of "Northern Comprehensive Colleges Bachelors category, receiving a tie-ranking of 15 for this year. St. Josephs Colleges strong freshman retention rate contributed to its top-tier ranking, while the Colleges continuing dedication to highly personalized instruction is reflected in the 15:1 faculty-student ratio and an average class size of less than 30 students.

St. Josephs was also named to Forbes Magazines "Americas Best Colleges online issue for the third consecutive year. St. Josephs Colleges affordable tuition, one of the lowest of all private colleges in the tri-state area, helped secured its place on the Forbes list.
