SJC Announces Spring Brooklyn Voices Lecture Series

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – January 8, 2020 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC), in partnership with Greenlight Bookstore, is pleased to announce that it will welcome a diverse slate of non-fiction authors to SJC Brooklyn for the Spring 2020 Brooklyn Voices lecture series.

“This Spring's slate of Brooklyn Voices events brings compelling non-fiction authors to the St. Joseph's campus,” said Raymond D'Angelo, Ph.D., interim executive dean and professor of sociology, SJC Brooklyn. “Each of these talks contributes to the intellectual and cultural environment that Brooklyn has become.”

The Spring 2020 Brooklyn Voices schedule is: 

• Ezra Klein, co-founder of Vox Media, will discuss his book “Why We’re Polarized,” in conversation with Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of “Between the World and Me” and “The Water Dancer,” on Sunday, February 2 at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $32.

• Erik Larson, journalist and author, will present his book “The Splendid and the Vile,” in conversation with Maria Konnikova, New York Times best-selling author, on Monday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $30.

• Mikel Jollett, author and musician, will discuss his memoir, “Hollywood Park” on Monday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $32.

These events will be held in SJC Brooklyn’s Tuohy Hall Auditorium and are open to the public. Ticketed attendees will receive a copy of the featured book, and have an opportunity to have it signed. For tickets, visit greenlightbookstore.com/brooklynvoices.
