SJC APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR OF GRADUATE MANAGEMENT STUDIES

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – July 22, 2020 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) has appointed Jerry Grossman as director of the College’s graduate management studies program for SJC Long Island and SJC Online, effective July 1. 

Grossman has more than 35 years of experience in marketing and advertising, and has worked at renowned agencies with clients including Procter & Gamble, Stanley Tools, Corning Inc. and Schweppes.  

“Our graduate management studies program prepares students for a seamless transition from the classroom to the boardroom,” said Robert Riley, Ph.D., provost and vice president of academic affairs. “With decades of experience in generating results for Fortune 500 companies, as well as his innovations in digital marketing and publishing, Jerry brings a wealth of talent and insight to this position. I join Executive Dean Jahn in thanking former director Mary Chance for all of her terrific work in advancing this program over the years.” 

He has extensive experience in print and digital media, having launched Digital Imaging Reporter and creating Demystifying Digital Magazine, a quarterly insert in USA Today. He also founded a consumer targeted website that offers reviews and helpful hints on all things digital, and launched a trade magazine designed to help retailers increase their printing profits.

Grossman has been an adjunct faculty member at SJC since 2011. He earned an M.B.A. in Marketing from Baruch College and a B.S. in Marketing Management from SUNY Buffalo.
