SJC LONG ISLAND EXECUTIVE DEAN NAMED POWER WOMAN OF LONG ISLAND

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – November 5, 2021 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that Executive Dean for SJC Long Island Eileen White Jahn, M.B.A., Ph.D., will be honored at the Schneps Media Power Women of Long Island Gala on Thursday, November 18 at The Carltun in East Meadow. The annual event recognizes females who make Long Island the thriving and vibrant place it is to work, live and do business.

“On behalf of College leadership and her faculty colleagues at SJC, I would like to congratulate Dr. Eileen White Jahn for this tremendous accomplishment,” said Robert Riley, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. “Dr. White Jahn is a dedicated colleague and friend to many, but her commitment to our students is most inspiring. We congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”

Dr. White Jahn is the executive dean for SJC Long Island in Patchogue and has been a member of SJC’s faculty since 1998, serving as a professor of business and chair of the Department of Business Administration and Marketing. She has published several scholarly works on business practices and organizational management, as well as many articles in the popular press. Over the years, she has helped develop several new programs for the College, including the successful Graduate Management Studies program, as well as the Marketing, Human Resources, and Hospitality and Tourism majors.

Prior to working at SJC, Dr. White Jahn held various positions in corporate management and management consulting. She has taught for Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Empire State College and Baruch College. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the PEACE Award for Providing Exceptional Avenues for Cultural Exchange from the American Institute of Foreign Studies.
