BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – September 9, 2015 - St. Joseph’s College (SJC) was recently recognized by two prestigious publications as an outstanding college in the region. For more than a decade, SJC has been selected as one of the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report in the Regional Universities – North category. SJC was also recognized by Washington Monthly as number 31 on the 2015 list of Best Bang for the Buck colleges in the Northeast Region for the third consecutive year, the highest ranking awarded to a private college in New York.

“SJC regularly ranks among the top colleges and universities in the region due to its commitment to academic excellence at an affordable price,” said SJC President Dr. Jack P. Calareso. “As the College approaches its centennial year, we look forward to inspiring and educating the leaders of the next century at our Brooklyn, Long Island, and Online campuses.”

With campuses in Brooklyn, Long Island and Online, SJC was selected to this year’s list of top Regional Universities – North based upon its high graduation and retention rates, assessment of excellence, quality of faculty, range of academic offerings and affordability. The Washington Monthly rankings were contingent upon student loan default rate, graduation rate, graduation rate performance, percentage of Pell Grant recipients and net price of attendance.
