St. Joseph’s College to Hold 19th Annual Golf Tournament

BROOKLYN & LONG ISLAND, NY MAY 15, 2009 - St. Josephs College announced today that it will hold its 19th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Plandome Country Club in Plandome, NY. The 2009 honoree is alumnus Martin J. Cottingham 99, managing director of the Corporate Services Group for Grubb & Ellis, a commercial real estate advisory firm that provides brokerage, property management and consulting services worldwide. All proceeds from this event will support the Colleges athletic programs.

With over a dozen years of corporate real estate experience under his belt, including an appointment to the New York State Real Estate Board by former Governor George E. Pataki, Mr. Cottingham is a member of the board of the Construction & Real Estate Services Committee for Enterprise Ireland, Bishop Ford High School, LaSalle Academy and the YMCA. He is also the founding member of the Holy Name Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation organized to settle Catholic school issues in Brooklyn and Queens, and is the vice president of the Emerald Association of Long Island.

At Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Cottingham offers multi-market real estate clients an array of financial services, which include planning, analysis and portfolio management. Before acquiring a position at Grubb & Ellis, he worked at Bear Stearns & Company, where he was responsible for global facility and property management, design, development and construction.

Mr. Cottingham currently resides in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn with his wife, Kathy, and their two children, Brendan and Genna.
