February 16, 2018 BK LI

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – February 16, 2018 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that as of February 16, 2018, SJC Online is approved by the New York State Department of Higher Education to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary online programs. Institutions that are members of SARA are authorized to provide distance education to students from all SARA member states. States and institutions that choose to become members of SARA operate under a set of policies and standards that are overseen by the NC-SARA and administered by four regional higher education compacts.

The benefits to students residing in SARA states are immediate. All students living in SARA states can now access all of SJC Online’s programs.

SJC Online was established in 2015 and offers more than 20 undergraduate, graduate, dual degree and certificate programs at competitive tuition rates. Transfer and life experience credits may be applied. Additional tuition discounts may be available for students who are currently serving in the military. SJC Online recently earned spots on U.S. News & World Report’s lists of Best Online Bachelor's Programs, Best Online Graduate Business Programs (Excluding MBA) and Best Online MBA Programs.
