    In a musical program featuring works by composers as diverse as Mozart, Haydn, Scott Joplin, and Dvorak, The West Village Quartet encourages a audiences to understand that “MUSIC IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE.” Presenting music by composers of different nationalities and styles fulfills this ensemble’s goal of engaging and educating audiences from all walks of life through the universal language of music. Members of this string quartet (2 violins, viola, and cello) provide a glimpse into their lives as performers, and give historical information about their instruments, the music, and the composers, offering audiences a full introduction to this rich and vital art form.
