Lessons: Artists Reception
February 1, 2016
Alumni Room Gallery, Tuohy Hall
Working with the Black Student Association and Office of Student Involvement on the theme of honoring the past, forging a future, the SJC Council for the Arts presents "Lessons" an exhibit. This show features artists who were encouraged to react, respond, and/or contribute to the conversations dealing with the difficult issues facing America and the global community.
What lessons have we, as a society, learned. Have we learned anything? In post-civil rights America, and living in times that have produced Black Lives Matter, prejudice against religious groups, immigration concerns, gender discrimination, police brutality, gun control, how do we honor the past in order to forge a future? Join us for an Artists Reception on February 1 at 5:30 p.m.
This showcase will be on display from February 1 until March 5. Gallery hours are Wednesdays, 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 1 - 3 p.m.
