A Message from President Jack. P. Calareso, Ph.D. on Diversity at SJC

November 19, 2015

As colleges and universities across the nation engage in dialogue surrounding the issue of diversity, and in light of recent events and discussions on both the national and international level, St. Joseph’s College intentionally reaffirms its responsibility for fostering an atmosphere of respect, dignity and good will among all individuals and groups on our campuses, within the communities that we serve, and throughout the world.

Discussions among faculty, staff and students that foster and build a sense of community and enhance enlightenment and inclusion have occurred and will continue to happen on both campuses.  Additional programs, workshops and events that promote civility and respect are being planned for next semester.

At SJC, we affirm the human dignity of every person and pledge to take all actions essential to providing a safe, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and community members.

I commend and fully support the SJC community for their continued commitment and dedication to upholding the highest ideals and the core values of the College.
