Brooklyn Campus Welcomes Acclaimed Journalist Errol Louis

During his talk, Mr. Louis will discuss the presidential debates on the eve of the final debate and share his insights on the upcoming elections from the perspective of his long career as a journalist covering politics. In addition, he will touch on his successful tenure as a print journalist, his time on the radio and his current program, "Inside City Hall" on NY1, and discuss how these mediums have changed over time. Mr. Louis will also share his past experiences as a community organizer in Fort Greene and discuss how the neighborhood has changed over time.
Errol Louis joined NY1 as the host of "Inside City Hall in November 2010. Prior to joining NY1, Louis was a Daily News columnist who wrote about a range of political and social affairs and also served on the papers editorial board. As a leading commentator, he hosted "The Morning Show, one of the citys liveliest political talk shows for New Yorks political, cultural and business leaders, every weekday on AM1600 WWRL. Prior to joining the Daily News, Louis was associate editor of the New York Sun, where he published columns from 2002 to 2004. He won an award for commentary from the New York Association of Black Journalists and was named the citys "Best Columnist & Radio Show Host by the Village Voice in 2010.
Mr. Louis holds a bachelors degree in government from Harvard University, a masters in political science from Yale University and a juris doctorate from Brooklyn Law School.
