SJC Introduces Computer Science Teacher Certification Program

BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – July 14, 2020 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that it has added a B.S. in Computer Science Teacher Certification program to its fall 2020 program offerings. 

The new program will prepare students to teach computer science to all grades K-12. The program covers current trends and technologies; computer literacy; programming/coding; software design and information technology.

“We are excited to offer this new program and prepare future computer science instructors,” said Victoria Hong, chairperson of SJC’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. “This program is a wonderful addition to our existing programs and follows the SJC tradition of preparing the best and brightest for today’s changing world.”
