The M.S. in Cyber Security is an advanced degree program that combines a background in network security, cyber security, forensic accounting and the criminal justice process.

Due to the prevalence of public street crime, private crimes and white-collar crimes, the demand has significantly increased for managers transitioning into the accounting and information technology disciplines.

Our program is geared toward undergraduates pursuing graduate school, information technology professionals interested in obtaining management positions and other professionals looking to transition to the information technology security sector.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports information security analysts jobs will increase annually by 37 percent through 2022. Advances in information technology, changing crime patterns and the lack of expertise in law enforcement have created a need to educate professionals in this field. Crimes of information now comprise nearly 70 percent of all crime.

Due to the prevalence of public street crime, private crimes and white-collar crimes, the demand has significantly increased for managers transitioning into the accounting and information technology disciplines.

There is also an emerging field of work in forensic accounting that requires a basic information technology skill set and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
