ACES is no ordinary English program.
It includes an intensive reading and writing workshop, where you and other students whose first language is not English study together. You will write many different types of essays and read literature by a diverse group of writers. You’ll collaborate with your classmates in discussions, brainstorming activities and the editorial process — and you’ll work one-on-one with professors in a supportive studio environment. In a very short time, you’ll be part of the larger ACES community, which will enrich your life during and after your college years.
You can. The ACES program at St. Joseph’s College has included students from Albania, Bangladesh, China, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, French Canada, Guinea, Haiti, India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Taiwan, Tibet, Ukraine, Vietnam and Yemen. What do these ACES students all have in common?
