Campus Ministry and Outreach Club
Campus Ministry and Outreach Club promotes values of community, compassion, peacemaking and reverence for creation. The club provides opportunities for justice education, service, leadership experiences and spiritual conversations.
Through our presence, Campus Ministry and Outreach Club seeks to create an environment of trust so that relationships can be built and understandings can be found between persons of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.

The S.T.R.I.P.E.S. (Students Taking a Role In Positively Empowering Society) Club was founded based on experiences with the annual Alternative Spring Break trips. In the past, students have helped in Atlanta and along the Gulf Coast of Florida. The April 2012 trip was to Joplin, MO to aid in tornado relief. In Joplin, nine students from the Brooklyn Campus were given the opportunity to help build vegetable gardens at the local elementary school and rebuild homes lost in the EF-5 tornado on May 22, 2011.
The purpose of S.T.R.I.P.E.S. is to provide students with service opportunities within the college and outside of the St. Joseph’s community. It will benefit the students of St. Joseph’s College by giving them an outlet to participate in service activities, expand their horizons to diverse communities, as well as develop a sense of self while helping those in need.
Student Veterans of America (SVA)
SVA is a vibrant student-led organization on both campuses that aims to promote an understanding of veterans and their vastly unique experiences, as well as the issues they face upon returning home. Veteran and non-veteran students and faculty are invited to join our ranks and help build our club, hold events and raise funds for charity.
