Therapeutic Recreation Major
"I decided to attend SJC because I heard so much about the school from my high school teachers. They would tell me how it didn't feel like a school but more like a community of people who shared the same roof and always looked out for each other.
"I knew from when I went to pre-registration that St. Joseph's College was for me. I felt so welcomed by my peers, professors, faculty, etc. They were so nice, warm and welcomed me with open arms.
"Four years later and I have realized that the people I met here and this school have become a part of my second family. I love everyone that I've met here and don't regret my decision for coming here.

"My future plans after graduation are to hopefully travel and see the world, before I enter into the world of grad school to earn my masters in occupational therapy.
"I've always known that I wanted to be able to help others and give back to those who need it. I didn't know exactly what it was I wanted to do so I decided to major in biology to become a pediatrician and take care of kids — be able to help them when they were sick or in pain.
"My freshmen year, after meeting the woman who eventually became my advisor (Professor Jeremy Cash), I started to believe that [Therapeutic Recreation] may be what I want to do. In the spring of my sophomore year I took her and Professor Franquiz’s class and it all made sense to me. I said to myself this, this is exactly the career I want and what I want to spend my life doing, being a recreational therapist."
"Any Harry Potter book."
What is the best advice someone has ever given you?
"Remember this: Life maybe stressful but don't ever forget to live in the moment, because that test you failed today won't determine the future of tomorrow."
If you had to give one reason for a student to choose St. Joseph’s College, what would it be?
If you made front page news, what would be the headline?
"TRACY, THE GIRL WHO WAS SO OBSESSED WITH FOOD SHE GOT MARRIED TO IT."
