Bio

Diane Pfadenhauer is an attorney, human resources professional and is a graduate professor in the Graduate Management Studies program at St. Joseph’s University, New York.

Ms. Pfadenhauer teaches courses in employment law and human resources. Her practice focuses on workplace investigations, sensitivity and compliance training, conflict resolution, employment mediation and arbitration. She is also the author of nine books including Workplace Investigations: Discrimination and Harassment, The Employer’s Guide to New York Employment Laws, The Employer’s Guide to the Family and Medical Leave Act and The Employer’s Guide to COBRA Self-Administration. She has been quoted in major news publications around the country, including Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, Newsday and Long Island Business News on issues related to employment law and human resources.

Ms. Pfadenhauer holds a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, an M.S. from New York Institute of Technology’s Center for Labor and Industrial Relations and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is also certified as an Employment Law Mediator by Cornell University. Her professional memberships include: New York State Bar Association – Labor and Employment Law and Dispute Resolution Sections; Member, Advisory Board, Center for Labor and Employment Law, St. John’s University School of Law; Member of the Suffolk County Public Employment Relations Board (appointed by the County Legislature for a six-year term), Society for Human Resources Management and the Nassau County Bar Association.
