Bio

Michael Berrell began teaching in the Art Department at St. Joseph’s University, New York in 2014 and currently teaches courses in Graphic Design, Web Design, Advertising, Interaction Design, Digital Photography and Digital Art Workshop.

Mr. Berrell received his Bachelors degree from Farmingdale State College in Visual Communications, and began working in the graphic design industry in 2004. He later completed a Masters degree in Education and Development and his M.F.A. in Graphic Design. He has earned his New York State certifications in teaching for Elementary Education, Art Education and Commercial Arts and Technology. His interests lie in the intersection of the arts, education and human behavior. Most recently, he has presented a body of work on the methodology of design education at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
