Scholarly & Professional Interests

Teaching Career at SJC

Taught numerous aspects of artistic expression — drawing, painting, ceramics, calligraphy, graphic design, photography, Crafts as an Art Form and art history. There has been numerous photographic exhibits, displays and lectures resulting from work associated with a sabbatical granted by SJC in the Spring term of 2005. This photographic survey of the United States focused on this nation’s natural beauty, extensive wildlife and various cultural and historic venues. It involved a six-month, 23,000-mile road trip rimming the U.S. and Canada with numerous side visits to interior sections of the country. Over 15,000 images were taken.

Exhibits and Presentations of Sabbatical

Exhibits were held in Manhattan, the Brentwood Library; Hampton Bays Library; Southampton Rogers Memorial Library (one-woman show, entire month of August 2007); UBS Southampton: both SJC Campuses; Permanent displays at Maria Regina Residence (300 framed images); Providence Houses (100 framed images); both campuses of SJC (maintained a portion of exhibit for permanent display on campus and at the Great River facility).
