Bio

Rory Shaffer-Walsh is the vice president for institutional advancement at St. Joseph’s University, New York. With more than 20 years of experience, Shaffer-Walsh’s primary role is overseeing the areas of major gifts and planned giving cultivation and solicitation, including strategic planning, outright and deferred gifts for capital campaigns, program support, alumni engagement and annual funding initiatives.

Shaffer-Walsh also serves as a liaison for the University's 42,000 alumni and Board of Trustees, and manages fundraising events, capital campaigns, annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, endowment and advancement services.

Shaffer-Walsh is a member of the Planning Committee, Strategic Plan Committee, Commencement Planning Committee, and President’s Cabinet. She volunteers with Adoptee Bridge, and was named to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph (CSSJ) Search Committee for Director of Advancement, and the CCSJ Commission for Sponsored Educational Ministries.

Professional memberships include CASE, APLI, PPGGNY and ADRP.
