Test Proctors — Part time

Position Status:
Part time – 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring Semesters and the possibility of some intersession hours (2 positions available: morning and evening)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 2+ years working with students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of ADA regulations
  • Knowledge of FERPA regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes initiative, is motivated, and adaptable
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to keep accurate and thorough records
  • Able to adhere to all office and campus policies and procedures
  • Able to be discrete with student information & accommodations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canvas (or a similar online
    class/exam platform), a quick study with learning new computer skills and applications

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with spreadsheets
  • Experience with accessible technologies
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience with an online appointment scheduling system
  • Experience working in a testing environment or school

Responsibilities:

  • Properly implementing the Test Center Policies and Procedures. This includes the following:
    • Documenting exam information on all forms required – both online and hard copy, inputting information into the online scheduling system, filing, computer setup, proctoring (includes scribing, read-to), and returning exams
  • Clerical duties (appointment documentation, record keeping, filing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, setting up exams, reserving proctors, reserving rooms when applicable)
  • Proctoring exams for students – ensuring all students receive their accommodations, allotted times, report any issues or concerns, contact professors if necessary
  • Adhering to and explaining all exam policies, campus policies, ADA regulations, FERPA regulations, and academic integrity
  • Retrieving exams from classrooms across campus when necessary
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation
  • Professional interactions with faculty, administrators, and students
