Title Position Reports To: Director of Operations

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Timely and daily review, entry and maintenance of undergraduate, graduate and adult application data to Slate Admissions CRM and Colleague SIS.
  2. Process inquiries received from fairs, visits and all various sources electronic and print.
  3. Process and match application documents such as transcripts, test scores and other supporting documents to expedite the completion of student application files.
  4. Process admissions decisions, scholarship and grant awards, as well process their appropriate letters including, but not limited to: running the query for the letter, metering, assembling, and stuffing mail pieces.
  5. Process inquiries mailing such as brochures, view books, event postcards and applicant mailing such as decision letters, missing document letters and yield postcards.
  6. Perform data import, materials scanning, maintenance of applicant records that include the review and cleanup of errors in Slate. 
  7. Cover phone calls made to the main Admissions phone number and emails sent to the main Admissions email account while prioritizing daily responsibilities of data processing. Serve as backup staff covering the Welcome Center.
  8. Daily retrieval of Admissions mail and update of the applicant records in Slate.
  9. Participate and assist in setting up Admissions events including Open House and Accepted Student Day, along with graduate and adult/transfer events.
  10. Assist with various admissions tasks as directed by the Office of Admissions.
  11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, skills and abilities

  1. Ability to work effectively with others.
  2. Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.
  3. Ability to quickly learn and use specific software.
  4. Ability to operate office equipment (i.e. copiers, fax, metering machine, etc).
  5. Ability to work long hours and weekends.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 lbs.

Educational/Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required, plus 1-2 years related experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
