Senior Associate Director of Admissions Systems

Reporting to the Assistant VP for Enrollment Management, the Senior Associate Director will serve as the primary administrator of the University’s CRM (Slate), with a focus on data integrity and best practices, and will seek improvement opportunities on a regular basis. The Senior Associate Director is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the CRM and ensures that all admissions, recruitment and enrollment functions are fully supported. Additionally, this individual will serve as the lead in integrating the CRM with the University’s SIS and external systems. In this leadership position, the Senior Associate Director will also provide training and oversight for system users and regularly implement procedures to enhance recruitment and admissions functions supported by the CRM.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day administration and management of the Slate CRM and act as the primary Slate Captain.
  • Perform system configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and quality control processes for all online applications, forms, decisions, application review, communication, events and portals, etc.
  • Responsible for integration of admission data systems between Slate CRM and Colleague SIS.
  • Responsible for all data imports and the integration/automation with external systems and venders, etc.
  • Provision all system accounts and provide relevant system training/onboarding for all necessary individuals.
  • Ensure accuracy, high quality and integrity of data entered into admission systems and Colleague SIS through assessment and quality control reviews and audits.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application processing in Slate and the data integration between Slate and other systems.
  • Identify and incorporate new Slate CRM functionality and enhancements on a regular basis.
  • Be an active member of the Slate community, to include but not limited to; attend the annual Slate Summit conference, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for Slate CRM with internal campus partners (i.e. Information Technology, Registrar, Academic Advising)
  • Assist the enrollment leadership team with the daily and long-term management of the division, including dashboards, reporting and implementation of new technology.
  • Leverage new technology and new system features to maximize efficiency and customer service.
  • Assist with large-scale admissions events (i.e., open houses, accepted student days, etc.)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements (Knowledge Skills and Abilities)

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Must have experience working with data and complex systems/structures.
  • Must have a demonstrated passion for using, refining and implementing technology.
  • Must have a demonstrated drive for maximizing efficiency.
  • Must have a proven ability to solve problems and provide good customer service.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and a proven record of testing and proofing.
  • Must have the ability handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and to prioritize workloads according to volume, urgency, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, PowerShell.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced experience implementing, customizing and/or managing Technolutions, Slate.
  • Experience with a Student Information System (Ellucian Colleague experience preferred).
