The Disney College Program really puts you 10 steps ahead of everybody else."

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone apply for the program, or are they only looking for people from certain majors?

Anyone can apply.

Is this a paid internship?

Yes!

Is it just for Disney in Florida, or can students intern at any Disney in the world?

Students can intern at any of the Disney's. Historically the California Disney has given preference to California residents and students haven't landed internships there. The Disney College Program doesn't exist internationally, but students can apply for jobs abroad.

How long does the internship last?

The internship is 5-7 months. Students who start in the spring semester would only take off for a semester, whereas students who start in the fall may end in February of the spring semester.

What are some of the typical life skills students gain from this experience?

Students gain leadership and customer service abilities. Plus students gain confidence and independence because of living on their own.

Would a student typically serve the internship during a regular fall/spring semester? If so, do they take online classes that semester?

Yes, and students don't need to take online courses. We can put their semester on hold. St. Joseph's University awards the student 6 credits from interning at Disney. Students need to send us their transcript upon completion of the program. The transcript is for the internship experience. No classes are required while at Disney.

If the student receives financial aid, can that money be used to help cover housing costs?

Students don't receive financial aid and the cost of housing comes out of their internship paycheck.
