Annual HR Diversity Conference

PATCHOGUE, NY February 16, 2010 The Offices of Multicultural Student Life and Continuing Education at St. Josephs College will host the second annual human resources diversity conference, Weathering the Storm: Managing and Leading in an Uncertain Economy on Friday, March 26, 2010 at its Long Island Campus located in Patchogue, NY.

Human resources professionals are invited to register for this full-day conference, which will include an optional post-conference professional resume building workshop. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will be followed by a series of career cultivating workshops. The keynote address will be given by Stuart R. Levine, chairman and CEO of Stuart Levine & Associates, LLC on "Developing, Motivating and Managing Top Talent in an Uncertain Economy. The event will conclude at 2 p.m. with an interactive question and answer session by a panel of presenters, including Linda Berke, founder of Taylor Performance Solutions; Felix Nater, C.S.C., president of Nater Associates, Ltd.; and Dr. Eileen White Jahn, chair of the Department of Business Administration at St. Josephs College.

"When you analyze todays workplace, it is constantly changing and we should be cognizant of our diverse surroundings, said Rupert Campbell, assistant professor of organizational management, business administration and accounting at St. Josephs College. "We hope that this conference will make more professionals aware of diversity so we can all coexist professionally.

The cost is $75 for an individual, $150 for a group of three from the same company and $25 for SJC students, faculty, staff and alumni.
