College to Host Human Resources and Diversity Conference

PATCHOGUE, NY March 22, 2012 The Office of Continuing Education and Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives at St. Josephs College will host the fourth annual human resources and diversity conference, Moving Your Organization Forward: Overcoming Challenges and Maximizing Opportunities on Friday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Long Island Campus located in Patchogue, NY.

"We are looking forward to presenting a timely and informative conference that speaks to the many issues professionals across Long Island are encountering, said Thomas Travis, vice president for planning and dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies at St. Josephs College. "Our previous conferences received positive feedback and I expect this year's to be highly successful as well.

Human resources professionals are invited to register for this full-day conference, which will include leadership and management workshops. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. The keynote address will be given by Christina Vargas Law, director of diversity and affirmative action for Stony Brook University.

The cost is $80 for an individual, $160 for a group of three from the same company and $30 for SJC students, faculty, staff and alumni.
