"We are excited to be hosting the Financial Aid Information Seminar with Congressman Tim Bishop for the fourth consecutive year, said St. Josephs College Director of Financial Aid Amy Thompson. "At St. Joseph's College, we pride ourselves on providing an affordable, quality education to our students. As a part of that mission, we believe it is our duty to educate all students and families about the various aspects of the financial aid process and myriad of resources available to them that will grant them access to a higher education.

The Financial Aid Information Seminar will include a keynote presentation by Congressman Tim Bishop and will be followed by a panel discussion including several financial aid professionals representing 19 colleges and universities from across Long Island. Topics will include applying for loans, common errors, early awareness, FAFSA and federal and state programs. A reception and a resource expo will conclude the evening.

"A higher education is the pathway to success in our country, Congressman Bishop said. "But it is also important that students and parents are aware of all the resources available to them so they dont graduate with an unsustainable level of debt.
