PATCHOGUE, NY May 19, 2010 Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition that recognizes achievement by marketing and communication professionals, has honored St. Josephs College with one platinum award for publication design and four gold awards for writing and design.

Each year, the Hermes Creative Awards are organized and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, consisting of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations and media professionals around the world. The Association supports the efforts of creative professionals from corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Each entry into the competition is judged at random, without concentration on the projects budget size.

"We are so pleased that the efforts of the Office of Print and Digital Communications have been recognized by marketing and communications professionals, said Kathleen Carey, executive director of print and digital communications at St. Josephs College. "Our team is very talented and strives to produce the very best. We will continue to evaluate the creative process that makes our print and digital communications award-winning."

St. Josephs College was in the company of other leading higher education institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University, University of Illinois at Chicago and Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, as well as industry leaders such as American Express, Costco Wholesale and Geico.

Since 1995, the Hermes Creative Awards has been honoring outstanding service to the communication profession. This year, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals judged more than 3,600 entrants internationally.
