January 13, 2013

PATCHOGUE, NY JANUARY 14, 2013 St. Josephs College, noted for its academic excellence, has announced its 60th program offering of Especially for Children and Young People. The spring 2013 program, which will be held at the Long Island Campus of St. Josephs College on Saturday mornings from March 2-16 and April 6-27, will be offered to students in grades K-7. Since class size is limited, early registration is suggested.

"This spring schedule marks our 60th program offering and we are proud to continue providing these classes for thousands of children, said Linda Higgins, program coordinator. "The Especially for Children and Young People Program at St. Josephs College allows for children to take advantage of math/reading assistance courses, as well as the varied enrichment courses taught by New York State certified teachers on Saturday mornings.

An exciting array of courses in math discovery, art, computer, kindergarten skills, study skills, Spanish and creative writing have been designed to stimulate curiosity and broaden the students awareness of the world in which we live. In addition, courses in supplemental math and reading will be available to provide reinforcement of the skills learned during the school year. A swim program will run in conjunction with the assistant/enrichment classes.

All courses are taught by New York State certified teachers in a caring environment, with a specific focus on the child.
