SJC Hosts Memorial Golf Outing

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – June 23, 2015 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will host the annual Thomas Wendt Golf Tournament on Friday, July 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, New York.

The tournament will be preceded by lunch at 12 p.m. and followed by a one-hour open bar and BBQ buffet. Complimentary beverages will be served on the course. 

All proceeds will be donated to the St. Joseph’s College Thomas Wendt Memorial Scholarship.

Thomas Wendt ’88 had a great affinity for SJC and was active in various student organizations during his years at the College. In addition, Wendt became an SJC employee in 1994, working as assistant to the director of student services and teaching a freshman humanities course. After his death in 2004, the Thomas J. Wendt Alumni Scholarship and memorial golf tournament were created to honor his memory.

Tickets are $140 per person; discount tickets are available for students. Non-golfing guests are also invited for cocktails and dinner. Tickets for dinner guests are $50 per person.
