SJC Hosts Psyched for the Future Event

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. SEPTEMBER 27, 2013 The Department of Psychology and the Office of Alumni Relations at St. Josephs College (SJC) are pleased to announce that they will co-host, "Psyched For the Future, a psychology event featuring an experienced panel of SJC alumni. The event will take place on Monday, October 21 at 5 p.m.

Participating in the panel are Samantha Caputo 10, LMSW; Krystalyn Kass 12; Christopher Kearney 01 Psy.D; Joseph M. Ricciardi 09, M.A.; Kenneth J. Roche 03, M.A. and Laura Van Schaick-Harman 06, Psy.D.

This event will provide information about careers in psychology, graduate school, programs of study, professional experiences and more. The panel consists of alumni from a variety of fields, including, but not limited to, clinical psychology, mental health, social work, school psychology and research.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in pursuing different psychology-related fields to hear from a diverse group of psychology alumni about their graduate school and professional experiences, said Diane Sherlip, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology. "One of the most rewarding aspects of this event is hearing how well our alumni have done in graduate school and in their professional lives.
