PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – May 11, 2016 – SJC Radio, a student-run, internet radio station that broadcasts from St. Joseph’s College (SJC) recently hosted a fundraiser and acoustic music showcase to benefit the Adoption Center in Ronkonkoma.

With musical performances by Craig Boiarsky, Brian Van Duyne and Ben Javaheri, the event raised more than $225 for the Adoption Center, a not-for-profit animal organization that rescues dogs and puppies from high kill shelters and houses rescued healthy, spayed/neutered cats and kittens for adoption.

“This event allowed us to raise funds for the Adoption Center while bringing awareness to some great local musicians,” said Brian Gully, student station manager of SJC Radio. “As a radio station, music is our passion, but as SJC students, giving back to the community is very important to us.”
