SJC to Host Alumni Networking Social

February 24, 2015

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – February 24, 2015 – The Office of Alumni Engagement at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will host a networking social for alumni, students and friends on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center on the College’s Long Island Campus.

The networking social will feature two guest speakers, both SJC alumni, who will be speaking about their own success stories and how networking has played a significant role in where they are today.

Patricia Grimaldi Lutzky ’81 is currently the vice president of Resident Services and often serves as the acting executive director at Peconic Landing, an award-winning retirement community on the east end. Lutzky has more than 25 years of management experience in the not-for-profit community.

Kevin Deutsch ’14 landed an interview with Softheon, a company that provides solutions for interacting with Federal and State Health Insurance Exchange Marketplaces, after attending one of SJC’s job and internship fairs, which he believes launched him into a great start to his career. Now a project manager for the company, Deutsch credits his experiences at SJC with preparing him for the “real world.”

“We are thrilled to have such successful and diverse alumni speaking at the Networking Social,” said Ashley Bender, alumni engagement associate on the Long Island Campus of SJC. “Patricia and Kevin have interesting stories to tell that really show how versatile a college degree can be, no matter what your major was.”

This event is free and open to alumni, students and friends. Refreshments will be served. Register online or for more information, contact Ashley Bender at [email protected].
