SJC to Host Expert Panel Discussion on Careers in Civil Service

PATCHOGUE, NY MARCH 5, 2012 The Office of Alumni Relations at St. Josephs College (SJC) is pleased to present, "Careers in Civil Service, on Thursday, March 15 from 6-8 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center on the Colleges Long Island Campus.

"Careers in Civil Service will feature expert panelists Melissa Frisina 07, records access officer at SUNY Farmingdale and adjunct professor at SJC; Annette Mahoney-Cross 98, assistant director of Suffolk County Child Protective Services; and Rose Lowe 68, of counsel to Jaspan Schlesinger, LLP. The panel will be moderated by Cheryl Felice 03, president of the Suffolk County Association of Municipal Employees while speakers will touch upon what civil service is and what employment options are available.

"The Office of Alumni Relations wants to shed light on some of the amazing local and federal opportunities that a career in civil service offers people of all majors and backgrounds, said Catherine Vitucci 04, assistant director of alumni relations at St. Josephs College.
