SJC to Host First Annual Health Care Achievement Awards

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. MAY 24, 2013 The Alumni Association of St. Josephs College and the Department of Health Administration at St. Josephs College (SJC) are pleased to announce the first annual Health Care Achievement Awards honoring distinguished faculty and alumni in the field of health care on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center located on SJCs Long Island Campus.

"Health care is facing extraordinary challenges that demand its workforce be highly educated and expertly trained to prosper in an increasingly competitive marketplace, said John Sardelis, Dr.P.H.  associate chairperson of health administration and associate professor at SJC. "St. Joseph's wants to recognize two outstanding graduates and applaud the accomplishments of two exceptional faculty members as they continue to lead the industry on Long Island.

This years honorees are adjunct professors of health administration in the School of Professional and Graduate Studies on SJCs Long Island Campus, Kevin Beiner, chief of staff at North Shore LIJ, and Richard Margulis 85, president and CEO of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center. Also being honored are SJC alumnae and Columbia University Ph.D. students, Sandra Boddice 08, M 12 and Amy Loeb 06, M 12. The event will also feature prominent guest speaker, Mark Solazzo, EVP and COO at North Shore LIJ.
