SJC Welcomes New Campus Minister to L.I. Campus

Patchogue, NY March 25, 2011 St. Josephs College is pleased to announce it has welcomed Patrick Tracy as the new director of campus ministry on its Long Island Campus in Patchogue, NY.

Patrick received a masters of divinity and a masters in theology from St. Johns University in Jamaica, NY, where he served as campus minister and adjunct professor of theology. As campus minister, Patrick worked toward guiding the education on campus about social justice and coordinating community service programs.

Prior to working at St. Johns University, Patrick served as a coordinator for youth ministry at St. Aidans Parish in Williston Park, NY, where he was credited with restarting its youth program by incorporating service days, youth retreats, sacramental preparation and special events.

"I have dedicated my life to the work of peace and social justice, said Patrick Tracy. "Being a part of the St. Josephs College team is an excellent way to partner in the change, education and outreach that is necessary.

Patrick brings many years of experience to St. Josephs College. He is active in volunteerism and has an extensive background in community service, both nationally and internationally, having volunteered for various organizations such as Pax Christi Hospice, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Habitat for Humanity and Mommas House.
