Zumbathon for Servicemembers Returns to SJC Long Island

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – JUNE 16, 2015 – For the second straight year, St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will be hosting a Zumba fundraiser, “Help Our Heroes Zumbathon,” to benefit soldiers, veterans, police officers and firefighters. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, July 11 (rain date is Sunday, July 12) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Danzi Athletic Center at SJC Long Island.

The event, which raised more than $2,000 last year, will feature a two-hour Zumbathon followed by refreshments, raffles and entertainment by the American Bombshells

All of the proceeds will benefit Boots on the Ground NY, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Suffolk County Police Memorial Fund.

The John A. Danzi Athletic Center is located at 155 W. Roe Blvd. in Patchogue, and is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue).
