SJC’s Council for the Arts Presents 100 Faces of War Experience

PATCHOGUE, NY SEPTEMBER 2, 2009 The St. Josephs College Council for the Arts is pleased to present an art exhibit entitled, 100 Faces of War Experience, a collection, once completed, of 100 portraits of Americans who have experienced wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This work in progress will be on display from September 15 through October 8, 2009 in the Board Room Gallery located in OConnor Hall on the Colleges Long Island Campus.

The 100 Faces of War Experience is a not-for-profit project fiscally supported by the Veterans Education Project of Amherst, MA. The exhibit showcases a collection of portraits created by the artist, Matt Mitchell. The portraits of these Americans, who were witnesses to our most recent wars, will be accompanied by biographies and an emotional statement or story.

An artists lecture will take place on September 22 at 12:40 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center located in OConnor Hall on the Long Island Campus of St. Josephs College.
