M.S. in Nursing Major
St. Joseph’s is pleased to announce that it was the recipient of a grant to support graduate education in nursing through the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP).
As an M.S. with a major in Nursing student at St. Joseph’s College, you’ll learn from highly credentialed faculty while becoming specialized in one of three concentrations: adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist, adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner or nursing education.
- Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Nursing, Nursing Education Concentration
In just seven semesters, our graduates are ready to assume teaching positions or become clinical nurse specialists, or nurse practitioners. The program is designed for registered nurses with a baccalaureate degree in nursing and builds on the knowledge base and practical experience that prepares the student for advanced professional practices. The M.S. with a major in Nursing is accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).
The adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist concentration prepares students for the multi-faceted role of the CNS in a variety of health care settings. The adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner concentration prepares students for the multi-dimensional role of the NP in a variety of health care settings. The nurse education concentration prepares students for educator positions in either academic or service settings or in patient education.
