Intramurals is a branch of athletic activities, which benefits the athletes and students that would like to be part of non-intercollegiate athletics. Flag football, volleyball, Wiffle ball, basketball and soccer are some featured sports that may be included throughout the College year. Tournaments, competitions and free yoga classes are activities that may be offered for recreation.
This program will work collaboratively with student life and athletics. In addition, the ongoing events will take into consideration the expressed interest of the student body. The intramurals department co-sponsors athletic events with Greek life and the Student Government Association (SGA).

National Recreational Sports and Fitness Day
SJC has been a member of NIRSA since 2007. As part of this membership, SJC hosts a sports and fitness day each year to raise awareness of the importance of recreation and physical activity.
In the past three years, intramurals has worked with the Office of Career Development, Wellness and Disability Services in co-sponsoring this event. The fair includes information on health and wellness, free demonstrations, free massages, Reiki therapists, healthy food to sample and much more. This event is great to attend in today's climate of stress, relaxation and busy schedules.
