“I am thankful for my family and friends. I'm thankful to live in this beautiful country and for our troops who protect us every day. It is important to be thankful for our men and women currently serving since many won't be home to see their families this Thanksgiving.”

"Coming from a very conservative family, I used to find it very hard to make my parents understand me. This year I am thankful for my parents understanding me. I am also thankful for all the new experiences I had this year. "

"I am thankful for the opportunity to live in New York City and the experiences that come with it. Whether I'm going to a concert one night or to an academic talk the next, I know that I could never be bored. I've come to realize this is truly a city that never sleeps."

“Among the several trillion things to be thankful for in this beautiful world, I can certainly say that I am thankful that the world is still spinning on its orbital path in space and that emerging, advancing technologies are one of the key factors that are sustaining our everyday activities. It is amazing how our human race has evolved from a mere, ‘Break this with a stone’ to ‘Oh my God! I have never seen a fire!’ to the first cars to the first computer to the first cellphone and everything in today's society. I am thankful that I was gracefully chosen to be born in the 20th Century where, now, as a 21st Century citizen, I, among others, am given access to technologies that would have been no where near existing several thousands of years ago. Lastly, I am thankful for the philosophers, astronomers, inventors, scientists and doctors for everything they have contributed to our society as a whole to keep us running. Happy Thanksgiving!"
