Brooklyn Campus to Host Health Screening and Wellness Program

BROOKLYN, N.Y. November 27, 2013 St. Josephs College (SJC), in partnership with New York Methodist Hospital, is pleased to present "Screen It Like You Mean It: Prevention Today For A Healthier Tomorrow. This event will take place on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Room located in Tuohy Hall on the College's Brooklyn Campus.

This event will feature: 

  • Michael Lewis, M.D. Director of minimally invasive gynecological surgery, New York Methodist Hospital

  • Yousaf Mahmood, M.D Attending radiologist, New York Methodist Hospital

  • Bharat Puchakayala, M.D Gastroenterology fellow, New York Methodist Hospital

At this event, physicians will provide an overview of the most common medical screenings available today, and explain how they work, what diseases and conditions they prevent, and at what age people should consider these tests. Following this, each physician will discuss the relative merits and benefits of having screenings and showcase how procedures will enable patients to have longer, healthier, happier lives.
