BROOKLYN AND PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) was recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as an outstanding college in the region. For more than a decade, SJC has been selected as one of the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report in the Regional Universities–North category. The College was also ranked as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans in the north.

“SJC’s selection once again recognizes the College’s unique approach to higher education,” said SJC President Dr. Jack P. Calareso. “By providing each student with an education steeped in academic excellence, taught by world-class faculty at an affordable price, St. Joseph’s has prepared more than 33,000 learners for successful careers and lives of service to their communities over the past century.”

With campuses in Brooklyn, Long Island and Online, SJC was selected to this year’s list of top Regional Universities–North based upon its high graduation and retention rates, assessment of excellence, faculty resources, financial resources, graduation rate performance and alumni giving. According to U.S. News & World Report, to be ranked in this year’s Best College for Veterans list “a college had to be in the top half of its Best Colleges ranking category and have 20 or more fall 2015 enrolled students using GI Bill benefits to fund their tuition and fees.”
